We recommend visiting the following near the Duomo in the center of Milan: the Duomo, the grandiose Gothic cathedral symbol of the city, Palazzo Reale, an 18th century palace now home to a museum and site for exhibitions, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, with its original iron and glass roof, the city´s salon with numerous cafes and restaurants and the medieval Palazzo della Ragione. Also of interest is the church of Santa Maria near San Satiro, a late 15th century masterpiece and the Pinacoteca di Brera which houses artwork of the most famous Renaissance and Flemish artists.
The famous shopping streets are between Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the fashion district: Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Sant'Andrea and Via Borgospesso. Less expensive shops are located on Corso Buenos Aires.
